In an entrepreneurship vision, you should ask yourself what your consumers need and how you can solve the problems for them.
Currently, the mobile payment industry is more involved at solving their own problems. However, at some point, companies should start thinking more about what consumers really need and how they could address it with well-designed value proposition. Square could be a counter-example as they solved a problem which was to provide a simple credit card payment acquiring system for anyone (i.e., new value proposition for an underserved market segment).
The question is also to know how and why people will change their way of paying. It is not clear what true value can mobile payments provide compared to existing solutions (e.g., contactless credit cards).
